Situasi keuangan Amerika saat ini mirip kejadian ”KRISMON” sepuluh tahun lalu di Indonesia.  Menurut pengamatan penulis, pemerintah AS dipaksa untuk membuat lembaga semacam BPPN, karena rescue plan yang diajukan oleh Presiden Bush ditolak oleh DPR.

Pada hari selasa (30-Sept-08) dini hari :

1. DOW ditutup 10,365.45 minus 777.68 (6.98%), terburuk sejak September 2001,
2. Nasdaq anjlog ke 1,983.73 minus -199.61 atau 9.14%.
3. S&P500  anjlog ke 1,106.39, atau minus -106.62 atau minus 8.79%.
